Design Philosophy

At NH Audio Design, our commitment is to create loudspeakers that set a new standard for sound quality. We strive to deliver audio that is true-to-life, regardless of the amplifier or signal source.

Our approach is grounded in the principles of fluid dynamics, which show that sound waves struggle with parallel walls and sharp angles. Leveraging this knowledge, we’ve designed a distinctive speaker shape that reduces sound distortion more effectively than traditional spherical designs. We use fiberglass for its strength, lightweight properties, and flexibility in shaping.

Instead of bass reflex systems, we prefer a sealed enclosure design to eliminate phase distortion and achieve more accurate bass reproduction. Our custom-engineered 12″ woofer, known for its high sensitivity and low resonant frequency, works seamlessly with a high-performance ribbon tweeter to deliver a wide frequency range.

Our careful attention to detail extends to the crossover design, which features adjustable inductances and capacitances for precise tuning. The result is a speaker that offers outstanding clarity and minimal distortion, reflecting over six years of development and more than a decade of expertise.
